I know many blogs out there usually post their about me page in the a third person viewpoint, for example "So and so is a who and who, having this and that". I’m going to be different here and post in a first person view point.
Me.
Well, I’m David Koh, 16 years old this year, and a webmaster, blogger, scholar, student and designer. I’m a Chinese born who was born in Malaysia.
I’m fluent in 3 languages, in order of proficiency - English, Chinese and Malay.
I’m currently studying in Singapore under a scholarship in one of best independent school in Singapore. And before this scholarship, I studied in another top school back in my hometown of Kota Kinabalu, and it was under a scholarship too.
My current laptop is a Portege M700 from Toshiba. It has a a Intel Core2Duo 2.2Ghz processor, 2048MByets of ram, a 120gb hard drive, a fingeprint sensor, digital touch screen, webcam, microphone, a card reader and it runs Windows XP table edition. For the amount I paid to buy this tablet PC I could have gotten a MacBook, something I definitely would have bought over this tablet PC if it weren’t for the fact that this tablet PC was a must buy in my school. And after using my laptop for close to a month now, the numerous headaches and random errors that my tablet PC has given me has made me look with a very negative view upon Windows XP and other computer manufacturers. Even at this time of writing, my computer’s touchscreen is not working, I’m guessing it’s not working because I just woke it up from sleep mode.
My ambition in life is to be an accountant and start a business, and because one of my ambition is to be an accountant, I keep a really careful record of money I spend - well, at least I try to :).
I am a proficient coder in xhtml, css and in the area of website designing, having been learning and improving for about 4 years now.
I like to define myself as a sportsman and a fit person who not only does in well in school, has a great social life, and also plays sports. I do badminton, table tennis, tennis, swimming and running - all at a competition level, which means of a certain standard. And out of all this sports, I won medals for all of them except table tennis.
As a scholar, I spend a lot of my time studying. And because of the perfectionist attitude in me, even though I study a lot and really in depth, I hardly get to cover the syllabus tested in exam before the exams come upon me. Then because of that, I have to rely on a lot of my logical thinking to link up what I know to fill up gaps in my knowledge about a certain subject. Yeah, it’s risky, but it works.
