I’m sure many of you have heard of the Apple Iphone, it’s what Apple calls a revolutionary device which is a phone, an Ipod and an internet device rolled into one slim and stylishly designed package. Basically, the Iphone is exactly like the Ipod Touch that is being sold in here in Singapore except that it also works as a phone.
I’ve some good news for all of you Singaporeans who are waiting for the Iphone to be launched in Singapore as the wait is over – the Apple Iphone will be launched in Singapore on the 22nd of August (Yes, this month) and it will be exclusive to SingTel [Source].
SingTel will be launching both the 8Gb and 16Gb in either black or white colors. So far they have not announced their pricing or plans yet, but you can sign up here to make sure you are notified when the plans and pricing are unveiled. I signed up too as I’m really interested to know more about the Iphone. I might even consider getting one if the price is agreeable
.
Many wonder why the Iphone is such a big deal especially since there currently are phones on the market that are touchscreen, has 3G, WIFI enabled and basically most of the functions and even the look of the Iphone. To me, it all comes down to two words – the experience. The whole Apple experience, something a Windows user will never really comprehend until the make the switch and try out the whole Apple ecosystem and then get forced back into the Windows world.
Anyhow, I’ll be writing more articles about the Iphone soon, so you can get to read more about the Iphone in the coming days.
Now for all of you who have been waiting for the release of the Iphone 3G in Singapore ever since it was launched in America, it’s time to rejoice
, and if you’re a Starhub or M1 user, time to switch to SingTel – the exclusive network in Singapore that can sell the Iphone.
