Have you heard about True Knowledge? To put it simply, True Knowledge is a search engine that aims to fulfil some gaps and inadequacies found in current search engines.
True Knowledge aims to fulfill a longstanding internet industry goal – providing consumers with instant answers to complex questions in a single click. To achieve this, users can add knowledge into the True Knowledge engine by going through a complicated process where the True Knowledge engine gets to better understand the content and thus helps it to show better answers.
For a comparison, here is the result returned by both the True Knowledge engine and the Google Search engine after searching for “Who wrote the novel Oliver Twist”.
True Knowledge returns both results based on it’s own engine and a standard search engine. When it’s own engine doesn’t or can’t return anything, it then totally relies on a standard web search. Users can endorse or contradict results returned by the True Knowledge engine, this is supposedly done so that answers and results returned are more accurate.
Can you see the comparison and difference between results returned by both the Google Search engine and the True Knowledge engine? Quite noticeable isn’t it? Yes it is.
True Knowledge users have the ability to add information into the True Knowledge engine. As I mentioned earlier on, the process is very complex, needing the person who enters it in to enter a lot of fields and data about a fact or knowledge he wants to add into the engine. I tried entering some simple information and knowledge about myself under “David Koh”, and when trying to fill up facts about myself, I had to fill up so many other fields that had not been defined yet. Yes, I know what I’m trying to say here sounds really confusing, but just take my word on it that when trying to enter data and information into the True Knowledge engine is complex at best. Hopefully in the near future it’ll be much more easier.
The True Knowledge engine is a work in progress, and it heavily relies on information and knowledge added by users and people. As this is the case, the quality of the results returned by the True Knowledge engine will be increasing steadily. One downside of relying heavily on user added knowledge is that for now, there is just too little knowledge to e able to replace Google in my daily uses. Maybe in the near future it’ll be able to be one of the top search engines used by people. Maybe
I was recently given 20 invites to True Knowledge which I’ll be giving to visitors and readers of Drett to preview this new technology that might be the future of internet search technology. To get one, please leave a comment with your email address and reasons why you think you should receive a True Knowledge invitation. Remember, it’s a first come first served basis, so do hurry

Dropbox makes secure backup, sync and sharing look easy. Here’s my short review about Dropox with instructions how to get invites from me to Dropbox at the end of it.
I recently got an invitation to Dropbox a few weeks back, and after using it and playing around with it, I can see how invaluable a tool it can be for everyone as it does its job well and seamlessly. Dropbox is a backup, syncing and sharing services which lets you easily backup certain files to its servers or sync files with multiple users and computers or sharing pictures and other things with friends. Currently all invited users get 2Gb of free space and once it Dropbox which is still in beta is officially launched, invited Dropbox users get to keep a higher space limit compared to the free members but less then that of paying members.
Lets look at the backup service which Dropbox helps you perform. After installing the Dropbox client, which essentially places a folder in your My Documents (Windows), you just drag any folder you want to backup into the My Dropbox folder and it automatically gets uploaded and synced into the Dropbox server. Everything happens securely, all files are transported over SSL and are encrypted with AES-256 before being stored on their backend.
Dropbox isn’t just any old backup and storage service, it actually synchs folders that your Dropbox is linked to. Because of this, Dropbox is invaluable in the sense that team projects can be carried out with relative ease as project members can be sure that they are always using the most current version of the file without resorting to other members emailing back and forth the most current file. It also comes in handy for those of you who like to share certain things with your friends as all you need to do is just drag the thing you want to be shared into a folder on your computer and you’re done.
Dropbox also can be used as a file sharing service. Whenever you drag a file into the Public folder in Dropbox, you can right click the file, hover your mouse over Dropbox and actually copy the link of the file. This comes in handy whenever you need to share a file that is larger than what can be sent as email attachments and is much more convenient then using file sharing services such as Rapidshare as you don’t need to upload the file and then worry as to when the thing you uploaded might get deleted. By using Dropbox, you just need to drag the folder you want to share into your Dropbox Public folder and get the link to share it and then forget about it.
. Simple.
By using Dropbox, you can easily share your pictures and photos with friends. After dragging images into the Photos folder in Dropbox, you can get a link from Dropbox to a gallery of collection of pictures which you then can share with your friends. Cool huh
OK, the Dropbox client is pretty cool, but we both know there are times when we can’t install the client for some reason and that is when the web interface comes into play. When you login to your Dropbox account, the first thing you see is your homepage which gives you a summary of recent events and shows the files you have including when you last changed the file.
Besides seeing a summary of recent events and files, you can also upload and download latest copies of files right from the web interface of Dropbox.
As you can see, the possibilities with what you can do with Dropbox is virtually limitless due to it’s versatile nature. In fact, if you even want to use to have conversation through a normal text file it can be done
. The only thing limiting how you use it is your imagination and creativity.
As I mentioned just now, Dropbox is currently in invite-only beta, and those of you who get an invitation now gets to keep your account when Dropbox goes live with more storage than a free account but less than a paid account. So hurry up and get your comments from me.
To get your invitation to Dropbox, please comment here with your reason you deserve and invite to Dropbox and your email address. Invites shall be given out on a first come first serve basis, so don’t be shy

Here’s a short review of Aviary with the instructions on how to get invites from me at the end
I recently received an invitation from Aviary, which is currently invite-only, to sign up. Currently my account has only been granted access to Phoenix, a web-based image editor and Peacock, a pattern generator, but from playing around with this 2 tools, I honestly believe that Aviary has something big going on here.
Aviary is a rich suite of internet applications geared for artist and designers from all genres. From image editing to typography to 3D to video and even a digital content marketplace, they have a tool for nearly everything. Aviary is trying to create a complex ecosystem for artists and designers by providing everything they need, right up from creating and designing it to selling it in their marketplace.
All of the tools in Aviary runs in an internet browser or as downloadable AIR applications.
Out of the 2 tools which I had been granted access to, I have used Phoenix more and am really impressed with what the Aviary team here managed to do. Phoenix has nearly everything you would expect a full-fledged desktop-base image editor to have, the only difference is that Phoenix is web-based and runs in your internet browser.
Within minutes and without any tutorials or needing to refer to any help manual, I came up with a simple design. You can import images into Phoenix to edit it, and then after that save it back into your computer in the few more popular file formats. As Phoenix is boasts nearly the same amount of features as other full-fledge image editing program, one can do many things with Phoenix after getting to know it well. I have seen some really spectacular images that other users have managed to create through Phoenix alone.
There are still a bit of bugs here and there but I’m sure that those things can be iron out fairly soon, and once it’s done, Aviary will be an indispensable tool for all artists and designers.
I have a couple of invitations with me and have decided to give it away to readers who want to sign up. I have very few invitations with me now, so it’s a first come first serve basis. As usual, post a comment with you email address and state the reasons you want this invitation.
Enjoy
Guys, I have some TemplateP2P invites that I would like to share with my readers. Just leave a comment here stating the reasons why you think you deserve it with your email address and I’ll send you an invitation code.
TemplateP2P is like a torrent tracker, but instead of downloading the files you want through a torrent, TemplateP2P users provides links in the forum to the downloads which are usually hosted on sites like Rapishare and MediaFire, making TemplateP2P more accurately called as a link forum. Among the download links shared at TemplateP2P are things like applications, games, stock photos, tutorials, ebooks, videos, fonts, scripts, templates, graphics and much more. One added bonus is that there is an invites section where the users regularly trade and give out invites, which I’m sure all of you would want some more of
If you’re a designer or webmaster who actively uses Photoshop, then this site would be of extreme use to you as there are many resources there from which you can download and use.
Note: I have a limited number of invitation codes, so it’s a first come first serve basis.
[EDIT: Sorry guys, but I accidentally deleted all the comments, that explains why there is no more comments

Demonoid is one of the most popular private torrent sites and my favourite torrent tracker on the internet. Demonoid has a whole lot of torrents in various categories, ranging from music, applications (both PC and Mac), books, movies, games, anime and more. In my experience, the torrents listed in Demonoid are prepared really carefully and have lots of seeders to leechers ratio. Demonoid was close for a period of time just a few months back due to some legal proceedings agaisnt it, but now that it is open once again, it is still going as strong as ever.
As a way to say thank you to you for taking the time to read my blog, I’m giving away invitations to Demonoid to as many readers as I can. All you have to do is comment here saying that you want it and the email address which I should send the invitation code to.
I hope you guys like it.
[EDIT: I’m sorry but I accidentally deleted all the comments here, that exlpains why there are no more comments

I recently got my invitation to the Evernote Beta, and from playing around in it, I must say that it is impressive. In fact, it’s so impressive that It’s already one of the few applications that I usually leave open on my laptop. That’s how useful Evernote is to me now.
Remember everything.
Evernote allows you to easily capture information in any environment using whatever device or platform you find most convenient, and makes this information accessible and searchable at any time, from anywhere.
Evernote is basically a program where you can type and keep my notes. Not just notes notes, but information in nearly any medium, from photos to audio to scanned material to clips of webpages. Photos that are stuck on the notes in Evernote are made searchable by Evernote. Notes can be organized into different Notebooks. You can also assign tags to different notes which makes it much more easier to find and locate your notes. The killer feature of Evernote is the ability to synchronize all infromation in Evernote across all your different electronic devices, from you desktop PC to you mobile handphone.
I have about 20 invites with me. All you have to do is to leave a comment along with any ideas (if you have) on how to use it. Enjoy
Invitations to invite-only sites can be extremely popular and in-demand as invite-only sites gives a sense of exclusiveness to its members. Invite-only sites usually are premier sites where every member has to keep a certain reputation and has a certain level of responsibility. Because of this, invite-only sites usually have a strong community, good members and members of the site would have prestige and a whole lot of benefits and advantages.
A simple comparison between invite-only sites and public sites can be done between Demonoid and other public torrents. Members of Demonoid are expected to have a certain upload and download ratio, thus ensuring that there are always more seeders than leechers. Besides that, torrents in Demonoid are usually of the highest quality. If a member tries to seed spyware or a lousy torrent, he’ll get lots of criticism and thus making Demonoid members shunt his future torrents. In public tracker sites, the seeder to leecher ratio is always pathetic, and many of the torrents are actually spyware and full of crap.
In this "Invites (Invitations)" category I would give away invites from time to time for sites that proudly carries the invite-only status. I would from time to time also review invite-only sites here.
P.S. I would really be grateful if any of you guys send me an invitation to some invite-only sites which I am not yet a member of
