Today I just received an email from Matched.Co.Uk saying that they had decided not to continue with the next part of their project, which is to graduate Matched.Co.Uk out of their beta stages. As a result of this, they are not accepting any new sign ups nor assigning advertisements to publishers. They will pay all those whose last cash out was before November 19th 2008, and they also encourage everyone to remove the advertisements from their site.
Matched.Co.Uk was quite a popular paid advertising network which I had come across many times on the internet - among forum members and other bloggers alike. I had initially signed up for it but my website had been declined. Oh well, I had heard some praises about Matched.Co.Uk in the past, but now it turns out that they are not actually doing too well and need to close down.
We’ll be missing you Mathced.Co.Uk, but I’m sure other paid advertising networks out there will still be around for all of us to enjoy
.
Here’s the email I received from them:

On the 8 of August 2008, which is this month, I wrote about how I was going to try Adverlets out on my blog. Well, today after about 16 days of running Advertlets advertisements on my blog, I must say that it is already earning me more than Nuffnang advertisements.
First of all, I need to say that both Nuffnang and Advertlets are not my main source of income on Drett.com. My main source of income is private advertising deals. The reason why I can’t earn much from Nuffnang and Adverlets is because of my low traffic count from countries like Singapore and Malaysia as most of my traffic comes for the United States of America. Actually, the traffic I get is far below what I wish I am getting, but I’m working on that and that story is for another time.
Well anyway. I gave up my Glitterati membership in Nuffnang so that I could show Advertlets advertisement on Drett. In this period of about 16 days, I have earned a little less than a ringgit. RM0.903 to be exact. And in this same period of time, I have earned RM0.00 from Nuffnang. Yes, totally nothing.
My stats below are for my Advertlets advertisements. Note that some days the impressions are very low and far below average because some days my site was down for more than half a day due to me trying to upgrade and fix out the kinks with the current theme.
I have totally nothing to show for Nuffnang. Nothing at all. I didn’t get any global band advertisements (which are the cost per click advertisements aka CPC advertisements), nor even a band 1 advertisement within this 16 days period.
I calculated how many days it was before I could expect payment from Advertlets, and by assuming that my average income a day would RM0.15 a day, I would have to wait about 1.8 more years before I reach the minimum payout of RM100. Not a very pleasant thought.
So far since I started using Advertlets on the 18th of June, I have earned a sum of RM1.442 while I earned RM1.25 from Nuffnang since I signed up which was on the 20th of June.
As I said before, luckily Advertlets or Nuffnang isn’t my main source of income, otherwise I seriously won’t earn anything at all
.
Having been a Nuffnang Glitterati member before, I know both it’s benefits and advantages, and now I’m considering becoming a TITAN member of Adverlets. TITAN stands for This Is The Advertlets Network which is what exclusive members of Advertlets are called (exclusive members of Nuffnang are called Glitterati members). Yes, I just might consider applying to be one just so I can compare whether Advertlets or Nuffnang earns more money.
What do you guys think? Does Nuffnang or Advertlets earn you more money? Post your comments below and share your knowledge with us.

One of the easiest way to make money online from their website is selling text links. Text links are usually bought by other people who are willing to pay to help boost the PageRank their site. Although selling text links is easy as it does not require much work on your part to display the text link, it requires a lot of work to find people who want to buy text links. Backlinks.com is a text link broker which acts as a middleman who sells text links for you but who also takes a cut of your earnings.
Backlinks.com will allow you to generate additional income on top of all your other revenue streams (Google Adsense, Kontera etc) without doing any work. All you need to do is just add a special code given to you in your template and whenever anyone buys text links on your site from Backlinks.com it will automatically appear on your site. Backlinks.com only allows you to sell text links on web pages that have a minimum PageRank of 1, so these links are not site-wide but just limited to the page which it was bought from.
For the service they provide, Backlinks.com takes away 50% of the earnings, which means that if you earn $50.00 from it, you’ll only recieve $25.00 (yes, I know it’s a high percentage). Backlinks.com sends out payment through PayPal on the 1st of every month.
You will be paid the following monthly rates for text links. Rates are paid per month per text link.
PageRank (PR) 1 homepage $.50 , subpage $.50
PageRank (PR) 2 homepage $1 , subpage $1
PageRank (PR) 3 homepage $2 , subpage $1.50
PageRank (PR) 4 homepage $3 , subpage $2
PageRank (PR) 5 homepage $4.50 , subpage $3.50
PageRank (PR) 6 homepage $12.50 , subpage $10
PageRank (PR) 7 homepage $30 , subpage $25
PageRank (PR) 8 homepage $75 , subpage $50
So far within this week, I have sold 3 text links on my PR 2 homepage, giving me a $3 into my account. Yes, I know this isn’t much and the links are of low quality (you can control to a certain extent what kinds of links that are allowed to be shown) but still this is money coming in without me doing anything.

I used to be a Nuffnang Glitterati member, which is Nuffnang’s loyalty program where you get higher earnings per click and other benefits in exchange for your loyalty in showing only their advertisements and no other advertisements from any advertisement network originating out of South East Asia. At that time I didn’t really mind not being able to show advertisements from other South East Asia originating advertisement networks like Advertlets as I thought that the benefits of the Nuffnang Glitterati program outweighed the benefits. However, after about 21 days and having only earned RM1.25 from global band advertisements (Yeah, not even band 1), I decided that being tied down to only Nuffnang was not worth it. Hence, my decision to try and start showing Adverlets advertisements on Drett again and see whether it is more profitable.
Nuffnang shows 2 kinds of advertisements, the cost per click (CPC) advertisements and the cost per unique visitor (CPU) advertisements. You only receive the cost per unique visitor (CPU) advertisements when your blog achieves a minimum of 20 unique visitors a day and maintains that amount while every blogger who signs up with Nuffnang automatically qualifies for the cost per click (CPC) advertisements. However, after all this time I have not received not even a single cost per unique (CPU) advertisement from Nuffnang even though I far exceed the minimum of 20 unique visitors a day.
Adverlets on the other hand serve cost per mile (CPM) advertisements which pay a fixed price for every thousand visitors (It’s the same principle as CPU advertisements) to all bloggers as anyone who signs up with Adverlets automatically qualify for them. As my click through ratio (CTR) so far has not been exactly stellar, I think cost per mile (CPM) advertisements will be more profitable.
Besides just trying out Adverlets advertisements on Drett, I have been thinking that maybe I should try jumping ship to Adverlets and trying to get into their own loyalty program called Titan (This Is The Adverlets Network), which has it’s own set of rather interesting benefits.
Most of the traffic to Drett is from the United States, and that’s one of the reasons I feel that both my earnings from Nuffnang and Adverlets will be significantly less than Drett’s true potential.

Everyone, introducing to you Bidvertiser, one of the very few viable Google Adsense alternatives around. For those of you who could not make the cut to get into Google Adsense, don’t lose heart, try out Bidvertiser now as Bidvertiser is an easier advertising network to get into which still offers decent pay per click (PPC) advertisements. Anyway, here’s a review of Bidvertiser for you
.
Bidvertiser is essentially an advertising network which offers pay per click (PPC) advertisements to publishers. This means that publishers get paid on a “per click” basis, which means the more clicks the advertisement on your site gets, the more money you earn. Bidvertiser is not a contextual advertising program as it does not auto select advertisements based on the content on your site, instead the editorial team assigns your site into a certain category and advertisements from that category then gets shown on your website. This is contrary to what many other webmasters who say that Bidvertiser is a contextual advertising network.
One of the things unique to Bidvertiser which separates it from many of the advertising networks out there is that advertisers actually bid on your adspace, and only the top bidder’s advertisements get shown in your adspace to maximize your revenue. According to the reports, the bids ranges from anywhere within $3.65 to $0.05. Yes, $3.65 per click on a advertisement. Don’t get too happy though, as my average income per click on the advertisements so far are only $0.07.
One of the features that Bidvertiser offers is the ability to control the advertisements shown on our website. This is extremely useful if you don’t want your site to show advertisements of competitors on your site, or just refrain from showing the low paying advertisements.
Bidvertiser gives detailed reports on how different advertisements perform on your site. A big big plus if you ask me. With these detailed reports, you can virtually track how advertisements are performing and use the information collected to better target your audience. As you can see below, the click through rate (CTR) of my advertisements are incredibly low, only 0.27%. Oh well, I’m working on it. Yea, and is shows my total earnings below, only $1.12. Ignore the dates though, as the “from” date does not reflect the actual date I started showing the advertisements. As you can see, the reports can be either in “BidVertiser Summary”, “BidVertiser Details”, “Category Summary” and “Summary”, thus giving a pretty good picture on how advertisements are performing.
Bidvertiser gives the publisher many types of advertisement sizes to show, ranging from leatherboard, to skyscrapers, even a free design advertisement, which would appeal to publishers with a need for such advertisements.
The Bidvertiser Center is the page that will greet you everytime you login. It displays all vital information and is like short summary of how are things going. This is one page you’ll grow to like after some time. Hehe.
Yes, there are some negative reviews about Bidvertiser out there, but there are also lots of positive reviews on Bidvertiser. All in all I think Bidvertiser is one of the few Google Adsense alternatives out there.
Start making money with Bidvertiser now. Make money from your Website or Blog with BidVertiser
